Okeechobee Florida Fishing Friendly Christmas

Okeechobee Florida Fishing Friendly

Our second visit to Okeechobee Florida allowed for exploration and fishing time, the first was a quick stop after dark with a view of the city lights. What an incredible place! Our two night holiday was filled with friendly people, awesome fishing, and stunning scenery. Everywhere we went, Okeechobee hooked Christmas up. The shops, restaurants, city decorations, and Christmas Lighted Boat Parade all gracefully exhibited the splendor of Christmas. Santa even arrived for a bite at the Lakeside Grill during breakfast. The food exceptional, the service on point, and warm homey décor filled this travelers void.

A stop at Garrard's before wetting our lines turned a quick pause for bait into a welcoming chat with new fishing friends. Garrard's is loaded! From our perspective, if Garrard's doesn't have it, you are likely not to need it.

Okeechobee Battlefield Historic State Park marks the memorial to the Second Seminole War. The battle Christmas Day in 1837 is reenacted annually on the last weekend in February. This park offers a free to use pavilion with restrooms on site and makes for a peaceful spot for a family picnic or workday lunch get-away.

The inviting hometown feel of Okeechobee envelops the senses. Little wonder the Seminole Indian words "Oki" and "Chubi" mean "Water" and "Big". Big water, big hospitality, and plentiful charm set Okeechobee apart as a Florida destination gem. We went to visit family and found friends around every corner.

Social Media Mastery

Social Media Mastery

With no shortage of analytics, research, and advice from all corners, there is little actual "shampoo, rinse, repeat" direction for the masses. Not everyone is selling, marketing, or searching the same thing. In addition, none is exactly like another. Even individuals in a category as niche as comb sellers differ, is it a hair grooming aid for humans, cats, etc.? Is it a decorative hair accessory? or, Is it part of the anatomy of a rooster? While there doesn't seem to be a good reason anyone would sell a rooster's comb, maybe they do. Uniqueness counts.

Is it possible to copy exactly what a successful poster has accomplished? Anything is possible, but not everything is probable. Time has passed and the Internet, people, and world have changed because of it. To duplicate an experiment one must set all conditions to the original. Since time has altered the Internet i.e. added new, deleted old, or edited existing content and users, an exact replica cannot actually be reproduced, only a version or piece with a new personality, yours. Scientists aren't known to set open flasks of solution out in the world and expect the solution to remain unaltered.

"Selling" also always doesn't mean exchange money for goods or services. Selling or advertising your personality, brand, or page in exchange for followers, likes, and reposts is what social networking equates to at it's core. Like it or not trading time, energy, and content for attention is a form of sales and marketing expectation.

The variable list when dealing with Internet data is extensive. Timing in general seems to be the biggest variable contributor that an Internet poster cannot readily affect. Having a ring-side seat to the WWW (World Wide Web) since it's inception, the show has been intense on occasion, other times the river hardly flows. The capricious nature of humans and algorithm updates both ring in the top tier of uncontrollable variances capable of interfering with a posters endgame. Where one chooses to post their content or when a poster is swayed by research data, advice, or opinion are both influencers an individual does have opportunity to affect. Others posting on the same or similar topics at the same relative time? There isn't much of a chance to halt the posting of others. If those others also have greater influence on social media, those posts are likely to outweigh your own.

Timing encompasses many layers of having ones hand on the pulse of Social Media and all that that implies. Not an easy task when posed thusly but, nevertheless, we post on. Timing relative to the hour of the day, month of the year, holiday season, or year in history matter greatly but many aspects of timing are just out of our control. Daily life takes time for work and family. Being mindful of a schedule will allow for set time to interact with the Internet during the most optimal moments. These moments are for the poster to decide. What time to post? What is the post about? Bartenders work late hours, posts directed to this group will probably not get much traction during business hours. Fishermen usually wake early in the am reading the newest posts with their morning coffee. Are you on Eastern Standard time but your target audience resides in California?

There are also the things one cannot change about time like war, economy, tragedy, algorithm updates, or weather disasters. This is where adaptability really comes into play and where Internet success or popularity often just happens without concrete explanation. Two separate posters with equivalent content, one soars, the other seems to creep. This outlier situation doesn't happen often to the masses, but periodically to the few. A very interesting situation to watch occur, we have been blessed to witness it a few times since the start of the Internet. The endgames were as unique as the individuals with one going from rags to riches to rags, another riding along with the first but landing firm in the red, and a third knowing completely that it was the current of timing taking them to another plateau. What worked for one may not offer the same outcome when not acted out in the same timeframe.

Free will and human preference take center stage as eras meld from interest to interest. Following trends via hashtags, keyword usage, Headline News titles, or per social network site even for a week shows how finicky human Internet interaction can be and how innovative verbiage can turn mainstream. Slang, memes, text abbreviations, and other colorful forms of communication can be termed as a sort of group code. Much like the artists of old who "hid" messages into their design for the "groups" eyes only, salty, image, and yvw do not convey the same meaning to those out of the loop. Salty to taste, beach life, or acting in a sassy fashion? Image, what do you see when gazing at a Van Gogh? It might be very different from another's take-a-way. "yvw" is a text abbreviation for you're very welcome (or you van washer, can't be sure). All forms of artistic conveyance require the beholder to explain relative the to beholden. Know your target audience and communicate effectively for those included.

The snapshot above was taken from Whole Whale and shows a graph from Buddy Media. The article is named "Hashtags on Facebook" and is a very good read. The article does not actually give a great deal of advice instead listing in a neat format others views. The thing about this graph and research is the graph doesn't factor in the Tweet's content. For instance, a first hand account of an explosion at a power plant will often get much more interest than a photo of breakfast cereal unless that cereal belongs to a celebrity.

The variable list when dealing with Internet data is extensive, often misleading, and a joy to discover. Posing questions while viewing data and answering them honestly is likely to assist in reaching set goals. Remembering to take breaks periodically to refresh oxygen levels with exercise will also expand productivity. Stop and smell the coffee, roses, or printer ink along the way. To believe one can master an everchanging universe constantly expanding is folly, but one may strive to master a virtual portrayal of themselves. Navigate carefully and consistently, pointing your compass (and posts) toward the truth.

Everything Has a Beginning Florida East Coast Surf Fishing

To everything there is a beginning. Origin stories are timeless, classic, full of trial, courage, and outcome. Each individual has one. A start to life, a path, a journey. Our story began in April of 1989.

The travels of being are what one makes of them. How humans choose to be seen, interact with others, or which selection of tasks one has tried or accomplished. All people test the waters of life and hope the stone they cast isn't too big for the pond. We have set up residence many places throughout the United States, went where adventures led us, held numerous employment positions, raised a family, and have been blessed to meet an incredible number of people, engage with them, and discover the multitude of beginnings each had experienced. We have found a confident rebirth of fortitude, responsibility, and drive as of late. It is worth noting as there have always been the elements of corruption, underhandedness, and greed in this world. "Let your light shine before men that they may see your good deeds, and Praise Your Father in Heaven" Matthew 5:16.

The idea of Florida East Coast Surf Fishing began in the Spring of 2019. We fish. We also stop to interact with other anglers as opportunity arises. A pattern of sorts emerged between April and June. Fishermen began stating how it would be nice to fish with others but didn't know where to find anglers in the area. We started searching the Internet for key words we thought relevant and came up dismayed. The key words we used were of course, Florida East Coast Surf Fishing.

We created the Facebook group as a hub, Twitter because doesn't everyone have a Twitter, and random other social media sites to compliment. We then bought a Go Pro and started YouTube to show surf fishing for regular people as mainly we saw professionals or celebrities fishing, catching only monsters. That can breed insecurity and hesitation in those wishing to surf fish for the first time or who wish to reenter the saltwater scene and since we have been fishing together 30 years we thought we might be able to help that. See a need, fill a need. Stayin Salty and Casting a Wide Net! We decided to always show whatever we caught and encourage others to get out of the house with their families and go fishing. Connecting Anglers One Fish At a Time =)

Many anglers started asking us about our rigs. We have always made them ourselves and never had given them much thought. Around the same time we had gotten quite busy and found our tackle box very low on fishing supplies. We began traveling to Bait Shops and searching the Internet for saltwater fishing rigs, Pompano rigs to have a few extra for back-up. What we found was dismal at best and certainly not quality. If we found a rig close to acceptable, it would have faulty hooks, incorrect line, or improper floats and beads or none at all. We decided to make our own to then sell for others, just exactly the ones we use ourselves. As we researched, we noticed many who didn't use what they sold and were confused by it. This was the motivation used to take a chunk of savings and invest in components on the large scale. We named the shorter rigs we use in Mosquito Lagoon and the Indian River, River Drops and the longer ones for surf fishing, Long Drops. The Double Drop Pompano Rigs are exactly the ones we have been using for years.

Since we ordered the components and began making the Pompano Rigs, we have found two other individuals who also make this product on Florida's East Coast. These are good quality rigs as well but different than the ones we make. We believe there is room in the market for selection. You can't have a stone too big for the ocean.

There is a good sized learning curve with shipping, mass construction, and small business. We are pushing through it all and will see where it comes out, but plan to list our surf fishing rigs for sale within the next two weeks. Yet another adventure.

Florida East Coast Surf Fishing, Beginnings, Faith, Family, Fishing, Hunting, Surfing, Monster Lobsters, Diving, Saltwater, Cocoa Beach, USA, Video Games, Blogs, Florida, East Coast, Surf Fishing, Saltwater,

We wanted to leave some tidbits, observances, and ideas we have discovered along these 50 plus years, there is still so much to explore, navigate, and grasp.

Some of what have we learned along the way. First and foremost to never be afraid. Fear tactics are now, will be, and have been utilized across the globe in family settings, fear of loss marketing strategy, or in employment arenas. Know and accept yourself, not only for what you currently are but what you also strive to be. Letting insecurity die is wise and allows for prosperity to replace it.

The age of the Internet has introduced a whole new anonymous factor for individuals to explore. Mob mania, jealousy, and often extreme negativity abound but look closer for the positive, attempt to add to it as you surf the net, maybe we will eventually drown it all out. No one is ever sure about the next step, but standing still never gets you anywhere =)

A quick story we heard once that has helped along the way to better understand life's work, "A man received a job from God to use his wheelbarrow to haul a stone up the hill for a foundation. As he began rolling his load, a friend stopped him and asked could he also take his stone up as it was clear that was his destination. Of course said the man and they loaded his wheelbarrow. Two more neighbors requested the same and the man agreed. Halfway up the hill the man began to complain to God about the heavy load. God simply replied "I would never give you more than you can carry".

God Bless =)
